It couldn't get any better, but this one really is about the numbers.
You got one team that's looking to double up as the state champs and the other ones hoping that the third time is a charm.
Yeah, both teams have everything.
Charles size shooting quickness.
They're both within a couple points of each other as far as what they give up on offense, what they get on offense, what they give up on defense and some great matchups.
This is going to be a good one.

We're back live at the Arena at the Gwinnett Center, getting set for the tip off of the Florida boys championship match up the Tigers with Tucker and the Eagles of Columbia coach Phillip McCrary, head coach of the Eagles of Columbia High School.
20th season with the program won loss record there in front of you.
As we get set for the toss, let's go courtside to Phil Proctor before we do that.
Hey, Charlie, you know, earlier we were talking about a numbers game.
How about this?
You got to team with two exceptional bunch of athletes.
You also got to focus on a very animated.
They'll be as much fun to watch the team's himself.
The difference in this is that Columbia will go 910 deep on their bench and Pataki Well you never know sometimes sometimes they you just don't know what they you wanted me to let you know because he is the best dressed basketball coach in high school.
If we need some help, we can go see him after the game.
Back to you.
Charlie Hurt.
Thank you, Phil And we'll try to keep the film strictly by the numbers, getting set to toss it out.
We'll get going here from the arena.
Taft controlled Eagles first possession.
Let's side quickly with the shot was Leslie that was deflected It'll stay with Columbia.
I don't know who he's referring to as far as needing help.
Sartorially charged.
Well, let that one go and look for a great matchup inside with Jeremy Price and Jeremy Simmons.
Couple of big time players, Columbia up top of the key as Leslie once again with a shot that comes off the mark as well Tigers Clarion had it back the other way Nick the loss to senior guard works to the right perimeter Atkins with the shot in a matter of fact we are just loaded with guys going deep one half of both of these ball clubs and a couple of big guards land stores for Columbia going to Georgia Tech, six foot five.
Marshon Brooks, six foot five for Tucker.
Some great matchups throw away inside back to the Tigers and Tucker Brooks handles out front runner right side almost stuck at it between the center and the backboard just those down low.
You're talking about the height of that Columbia to her starters, four of them coming in at six five.
A better to be a real challenge for the tigers to keep them off the boards.
Yeah and they're not skinny, tall guys either.
They got some meat on the bones.
And also both teams starting four seniors on each ballclub with this one underclassmen.
So not going to be a lot of nerds out here.
Both these teams have been here a lot.
Tucker, Been the last three Final Fours Columbia were beaten state champ maybe so a lot of experience on the court tonight.
Add to this converts on both from the line for Tucker full court pressure go right into it Eagles quickly up the floor price handles in the paint doctor separation underlay for the Eagles this transition working well for the eagles coming off that full court pressure by the Tigers Columbia man to man Simmons guarded by price at the block.
It's also on the penetration Simmons running jumper off the mark gets his own rebound though now a third shot at it missed on the third as well Price and Columbia back the other way scores top of the two for three That was hard long rebound to the Eagles second shot off as well DeLoach across the time line for Tucker Tucker at throw and key coming into today's ballgame two losses to the Eagles inside shot by Brooks is off the mark both teams cold shooting early on down the floor is limited and taken away but defensive work by the tigers Manny Atkins with the basketball now for the coach in traffic and the Eagles take it right back Good play didn't have the numbers pulled back out then go inside of the big shot rejected by Simmons excellent defensive work by Jeremy Simmons on the inside Simmons giving up two inches and probably 15 £20 but he's he's a quick leaper You saw it right here Timing's perfect on the block and I have to give him the head fake or use a little baby hook.
You're not going to go up in his face with it.
Price of six nine ordinarily thinks that that a clear shot for him and not a lot of contest on the shot Simmons looking at Jackson Tigers with a basketball just underway in the four championship left corner for three attacking Stanford Look at it put it down because they left him alone Herb in the corner and Atkins with a nice square up look and put it through for the Tigers Just a sophomore at six five.
He's got a pretty stroke.
Charles Across the floor.
There's the steal.
Here comes the low inside pass.
They work it down at the block.
Nicely done as Atkins finishes with a touch.
Good patience on the delayed break there by DeLoach didn't force it at first.
Wait until he got the numbers and then made the entry pass.
Tigers leading by three runner left corner off the mark whistles down low.
Well, get down to you, Harvey.
I'm coming over the back.
You have to watch this Columbia defense.
They play man to man a lot, but they've also got what you call a matchup zone that they just strip.
They describe it as very, very subtle.
It's a it's very difficult to tell whether it's a man, man or zone.
It's giving a lot of teams a lot of trouble.
Probably going to give me trouble trying to pick it up.
But we'll try to keep an eye on and see if we can detect it when they go to it.
4 minutes, 34 seconds remaining.
First quarter DeLoach and the Tigers enjoying a five point lead.
The Eagles appear to be man to man working left right side as Wilson wrestles on his way And he'll get one.
we got Coach Bobby Crimmins sitting over here to our right.
Maybe he can let me tell him to let us know when he sees the matchup come into play.
And I will have to go out on a limb and ask the questions he can answer.
They've had a great year down in College of Charleston, first year down there, back from about a five or six year hiatus from coaching.
Glad to see him in the arena tonight.
Yeah, well, some converts on the three point play for Tucker right now the Tigers momentum favoring them they won three one half court trap Charles and they got the ball off the steal They take it away.
We'll see what the basketball tigers can to build on their lead left side Wilson shot at hard price clears for Columbia up top store for three This one he left at the front of the center the rebound to Brooks good defensive work by stores out front.
Yeah they're going to need stars to hit that jumper from out front they're going to collapse that zone on price.
Somebody for Columbia is going to have to stroke it.
Todd I'll take it on the floor taken by the Tigers of Tucker for leading 10 to 2 over the Eagles of Columbia.
Well, step aside for a time out.
Back with more on the GHC Boys Championship.
Funding for this program is provided by the Georgia High School Association.

Thanks for tuning into GPB and please enjoy the rest of the game.
Dodge grabbed life by the horns.
Tigers leading at 10 to 2 over the Eagles of Columbia.
Herb betraying the transition.
Basketball is working for the Tigers right now.
Right now, Tucker is getting some good looks at the basket.
They've had a couple of good looks.
They didn't get to go down.
And again, Columbia not shooting well from outside and they're going to have to hit some shots out there to loosen it up for the big folks inside.
A lot of people telling me they thought Columbia was the best team in the state, not in their classification, but in the state.
And of course, with the state, with Norcross and Wheeler and some of those other teams.
But right now, they haven't they haven't gotten off to a good start yet.
DeLoach and the Tigers, after the time out with the basketball, will see handles behind the arc now Whiteside Atkinson three and Taylor he's got no spin on that ball but he still got a nice stroke I think it rotated once the whole time from 25 feet.
It's an evolving point lead now for Tucker.
Tucker has lost twice to the Eagles of Columbia during the regular season.
Now they're back in that zone, packing it in now lets us down low.
Three three.
man he Atkins sort the foul he's coming from the outside to help against Jeremy Price price looks like he's lost a couple of pounds from last year Looks a little slimmer and more muscular than he did last year and we saw price converts on the first senior has already committed to play at your alma mater.
Remember that, Duke?
Yeah, we can use that help inside or they can use the help inside.
Have to stay neutral while we're doing the games.
They should see you backstage.
So Price got them both.
DeLoach works at the left side.
The Brooks Simmons Squares, the three good look at it.
Hit the back of the center rebound.
It comes together.
Lasley and Columbia Marshall inside the paint lost it.
Tiger stepping out of bounds.
It'll stay with Columbia good look by Lemmons Trying to get his big man going down the lane Couldn't get it gets it stores inbounds it out front the Clemons now down at the blocks in traffic tigers take it away the load quickly off the floor They've got the numbers right side on the move has Atkins shot a high and price clears the Columbia Tigers with a four on to that trip down the floor.
Hurd not able to convert and whistles back the other way.
Tucker is starting to pick up a few fouls now.
They're not, as we heard before the game.
We don't know how deep they're going to go.
So fouls could be a problem for them.
Nick DeLoach picks that one up for the Tigers.
Eagles on the inbound stories wait on the arc.
Don Lemon just stores back a lemon largely inside.
He missed it but has tapped around.
Still is.
And it stays true to the Eagles of Columbia.
A lot of folks think Leslie's the best player on this team.
He's explosive because the youngest guy out there, only a soft six, five stores in the corner squares, The three can't get it to fall.
The long rebounds tap around it comes the tucker.
They got a two on one nice dish left side, too.
The lack of Simmons is far more powerful.
foul calls the ball off of the Eagles price set the block heart to the glass shopgirl good humor style and Travis Leslie with that block down there a lot of great action over the rim here we see it right here.
That's a clean block.
Leslie really getting up there and he's a junior, not a sophomore, because he man some hops there and that's great play to not foul on that and on transition Danny Price in the semifinal he's at 19 points versus Silverdale to get them here for this championship All game going to the line trying to finish off a three point play price converts on the line six point lead now for Tucker behind the arc squaring for three shots off by the low basketball team.
Columbia quickly up the floor left side with virtually the Romans finishes nicely Columbia good job of lemons to come up with that long pass had to battle the Tucker player to get it, controlled it and laid it in softly blow over the Wilson Wilson inside somebody's socks off him on he to pull back down the floor they throw too high and he's a surprise 43 seconds in the fourth quarter Tucker shooting a little quick the last two or three times down the floor, Charles, they were looking for a little better shot early on.
They need to do that again.
39 seconds clock running here in a quick moving first quarter.
Brooks way outside fires a three.
But that one short, I guess they didn't hear me a 28 footer price cleared Eagles have it scores back up top Kelly Hall for one here shot clock name clock almost in sequence run a right sides off the mark cleared by the tigers and Tucker they'll have the last shot.
I'm going to have to give up the game Brooks quickly back the other way Runner from ten.
Nice move on Brooks with the last at the buzzer.
Well you're trying to get run off but it falls short after one from the arena at Gwinnett Center.
It's the Tigers of Tucker 15 and the Eagles of Columbia nine price going inside, but good defensive work rejects that one.
And we'll be back with more action.
You love my sense I can I was I wrote Annie Song when suddenly I was hypersensitive to how beautiful everything was.
Fine like a walk in the rain.

This is Georgia Public Broadcasting, your PBS station is the end to the second quarter.
We go the boys for a championship Tucker are leading Columbia As we get set to set to start the second quarter, look for the latter part of that first quarter.
Herb Columbia starting to get their sequence a little bit more in order to a better ball movement.
They're still not stroking it from outside, but they're inside.
Guys picked it up a little bit, shot a few free throws at the back in the ballgame.
Region six Day has had the state championship.
Six boys at the state championship for three years.
Charles some good basketball being played in this region.
Tigers and Columbia out of that region.
Brooks across the time line right side will stand nice step by Brooks but he lost it in traffic clear for Columbia.
They got numbers to the line of two right side lemmings all the way through Miss coming and the Tigers back the other way.
Brooks inside the paint dishes down low whistles as Atkins tries to go airborne Nice dish Columbia really collapses that defense once you get into the lane penetrate all four of the other players collapse in there.
That's when they get called for the foul.
Manny Atkins, a sophomore to the line, averages on the season and he converts on the first turning nine this week, the Anthony Isom, with his first spot of duty for the Eagles of Columbia, the first chance to see Coach McCreary go into that deep bench.
It is two six for JR Atkins converts on both full court pressure by Tucker Lemons up the floor tomorrow.
Now stores behind the arc he can get it from there they go left side elements instead now store squares the three pop it hard lemons clear eagles with another look and lemons throws it away Stores is not a guy that scores a lot of points.
He only averages about ten and a half for the team.
But they really do need him to hit that outside jumper there at the head every now and then.
They are at this point yielding that shot to him.
DeLoach out front now Brooks Right side the Eagles man to man defense Nice spin by Brooks right now the low right side all the way through Got it to the rack of the past good Got it up among the giants somehow he found the space in there.
The Tigers leading it by ten scores inside the paint price R to the glass right side.
Nicely done by the big man glass.
Well, one on four, that zone had collapsed on him.
He just decided he was going to go up Kispert nicely off the glass wall squares inside the arc with the jumper.
It's good.
Done, Wilson, the senior with a nice bucket.
His first he was inside the price of Bryce Dunk.
But he missed, I guess clear the air and shot basketball back to Tucker A lot of contact in there but they're letting him play Charles and Bryce had a hit momentarily try to complete that dunk wasn't able to convert tigers very aggressive on the inside Hello Channel five getting pressure from Brian Stosur who just checked in for Columbia at the block that defensive work by Columbia to attack it back out.
Tigers will keep it up.
Russell is on the floor and duration he tries out trying to cover defensively and Atkins took advantage of it with a quick step.
Second half Simmons was open underneath.
He tried to get it to him, couldn't get it down to him.
Simmons A quick six seven second day Harvey back on the floor for Columbia.
Atkins fires this one a short basketball belongs to Columbia.
Tough shot.
He had two six, five stores right in his face there, extending the pressure a little bit now, Tucker, for his quarter court.
The Eagles with a chance to cut the deficit under ten stars.
Left side runner shot into the glass but missed as Marshall with a backside rebound and putback for the Eagles though very small ball squaring up nicely, blocking out, getting the rebound and putting it back left block And we're going to get more for the block there on the baseline.
That's where Columbia is going to have to get back in this thing, play some good defense and get the ball inside down the boards.
They definitely got a strength advantage inside.
Got to take that.
Take advantage of it.
Maryland not hitting the jumper.
Phil Parker talking about that prior to the ball game that Columbia wanted to try to make it a half court game to take advantage of that high inbound pass to Simmons on the rack.
But he missed Morrow clears for the Eagles closure scores for the glass and this time the shot George just coasting now and throwing it up not taking a good shot.
He did pull up and shoot the jump shot to take it all the way.
He's trying something about halfway between the Eagles.
We'll have another look.
Contact inside.
No foul call, though.
Strozier out to Storrs.
Morrow's got the block and position back to Storrs on the move The runner from 10,000 shot as well Rebound to Williams Tucker's quickness giving Columbia some problems Charles a timeout taken by the Tigers of Tucker They lead it 21 to 13 over the Eagles of Columbia back after this time out funding for this program is provided by the Georgia High School Association.
The GHC would like to thank State Farm for the outstanding support of high school sports programing on Gp-B State Farm is proud to be the official awards presenter of the GHC, recognizing outstanding achievements by Georgia's student athletes in competitive sports and activities, State Farm wants families and teens to always drive safe in your communities as you travel to work, school or play like a good neighbor.
State Farm is their black lab at the arena.
Harrell, Big man is standing by courtside, so practice something called I'll sit up under the basket.
I thought I might put a shot in, but, you know, I was talking to the coaches only about reading Sick.
This is one of the best conferences for the best regions in the state and help these two teams get here.
They said, the thing is, you've got a lot of quality coaches and a lot of quality players and right now that's exactly what we're seeing, a lot of quality out on the floor.
Back to you.
I agree, Kirk, and you make it unanimous.
I'll agree to that.
There's no doubt about it.
You play against tough competition all year long.
It's going to make you a better team.
Just ask the University of Florida Football director, number one.
And number two teams in the state vying for the title.
Brooks with the left hander Thank the phone for the Tigers.
Marshon Brooks almost a 20 points a game score.
He showed you why they're scores James heartbreak.
He's on record as saying that Marshon is our energy.
The way he plays is going to kind of dictates the tempo of the team.
Stories behind the arc could have a spread to three defense by the Tigers.
It went out of bounds, Basketball out of bounds.
Hard to say what Eagles I don't think other than Storrs maybe early on taken a couple of three pointers.
I don't know.
Columbia's just taken a three point shot in the ballgame.
Charles, do you remember what I mean?
They they're really trying to work it inside, which is what they should be doing.
He scores fires another three, another airball.
This been tapped around two or three times by the Eagles and now Monroe with a putback.
yes height showed itself They're gonna ride those horses it's not just a height mark probably goes about one turnover up to 50 That might be my guess Pretty close but nice cross double by the long running jumper.
Left it on the cylinder Long chase down tigers will have another look to send the screen airborne was trying that Duncan he has an explosive six seven about a foot and a half maybe two above the hoop on that one Simmons with the quick step drew the foul There you see it Let's see if we can see the angle.
How high.
Yes, he's up inbound play and traffic gets the shot as O'Mara, Thompson and Thompson convert coming right off of the tiger bench.
Tucker with a lot of those slam players who seem to be able to knife their way into the hoop, Tiger's guilty of the league game.
Yeah, so far for looking on ten point lead for his Tigers five to defeat the team that got him twice in the regular campaign left block Nice dish download him on good luck on the pass and try his last mile makes himself available and they get it to him below the left side.
Simmons squaring for three.
Yes.
Thought about it long and hard and got the result he wanted for that shoot for Tucker Simmons can step out and full price and the other big guys away from the hoop a little because Tucker can really take it to the basket if they can spread them, that's going to make it tough.
11 right?
BLOCK I see.
I thought the store would kick around the corner.
Now, lastly, on the rejected, it becomes clear back to Leslie, though missed on a second off the Tigers coming back the other way Tucker for six from behind the arc Columbia yet to convert here Yeah it's not their game travel violation on Tucker will give it back to the Eagles after that by the Tigers as lemon handles out for him for Columbia scores left side Leslie Ramey at the block mark nice depth inside the paint Well done by Derrick Long Yeah Simmons is a good leaper.
Mama kept his body right up against him.
Didn't give him a chance to jump more or anything just on the six Points football game in the regular season already accepts that tonight he's doing a good job, but Jeremy Price takes the ball on the bench.
Simmons Another three point after this one by course on the rebound but it comes clear to Leslie and Columbia right side running the floor nicely done and some converts calls the foul He'll go to the line strong shake by some there jumped off of two feet on the break and who's going to get a little contact converted He got a minute remaining in this first half.
That was a big basket for Columbia after the conversion.
Now, Tucker, with the basketball Eagles throwing for good pressure, the out front back and surveys back across the floor for the lowest whistle on the penetration by Brooks.
Every one of the Tucker players can put it on the floor and they've got an explosive first step.
Everybody from the post man, all the guards, they are really quick, explosive players off the perimeter.
So Brooks will be headed back to the free throw line converts on the first Tucker really not noted for its free throw shooting abilities as a team overall.
But tonight very well Brooks just under 20 points per ballgame.
This is the second free throw I think I teach them from hell.
They've had some really poor free throw shooting in some games this year and it could hurt him if this game stays close.
But right now they got the seven point lead scores and Eagles going to play for the final shot of this first half work at left shot at it bad a guy dilemma as they drop it down at the block in traffic and the tigers take it away the 5 seconds left Brooks going to try to make something happen from three point range left it short so the Tigers with a good defensive effort get this turnover an opportunity to convert at the half the shot far short but the tigers have not been short in effort in this first half they lead the Eagles 2922.
Phil Proctor standing by the coach for Phil.
All right, thanks, John.
Very close to the beginning, we talked about what it was going to take to win this game.
You said defense.
Are you happy with execution, hoping it happen with defense right now?
But the same with 60 Minutes.
This is a very fine ballclub to win the nation's top best here.
we got 16 more minutes to play and we got to play this same we played the first half.
Believe me, Columbia will come back and fight.
They right naturally because they keep playing this.
This is good.
So we just got to come back and play.
16 more minutes.
All right.
Thanks a lot for doing.
All right, Charles, back to you.
Thank you, Phil, at the end of March, and that's the Tigers 29, the Eagles of Columbia, 22 will step aside and come back with the halftime festivities from the arena when at center Elvis Live in Concert reunites Elvis back on stage with his original backup singers and band members in commemoration of the 25 years since his passing, this magnificent concert event took place at the Pyramid Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee, Tuesday at eight on Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Back here live inside the arena at Gwinnett Center.
We've reached the half in.
It's Tucker, 29, Columbia, 22, and the Quad Boys matchup, of course.
Tucker out to a 13 to 2 run to open the game.
But the Eagles have since sliced into that lead a little bit.
And we've got a ball game at the half.
Let's go ahead, throw it courtside to Phil Proctor, who's standing by with some special guest Bill, you know, you're doing a fantastic job.
So I'm standing here with the principal of Columbia High School, Dr. Thomas Glenn.
And I'm also standing here with the principal, Mr. James Jackson of Tucker.
And James, because he is the elder statesman.
We will start with you.
First of all, talk to us about what it's been like around Tucker this week.
We had a great week.
The kids are very excited about the game, Got two busloads of kids and you can see our kids all over the place.
And I would like to congratulate Coach Harter.
This is just a third year in a row going to the Final Four.
He's playing for the title two out of last three.
Very proud of our students and our teachers and our faculty and staff, and also we're proud of our community support.
So if I'm a parent moving into that community of Tucker and I want my kids to go to Tucker, what kind of programs do I get a chance to go to?
A wonderful, wonderful Ivy program, One of only three schools in a Canada has an Ivy program also, and we got about 20 AP courses that we offer at the schools.
And just a wonderful bunch of teachers that treat you like they're like you're their own.
Now, you were telling me earlier that your mentor is over here to my right.
And what was that like to be standing here with your mentor?
Hey, you know, he's one of the best principals in the cap county, So when I have a question by anything, I give him a call and get advice for him on the problem of having or how to handle a certain situation.
So I'm thankful to have him as a mentor.
All right.
Well, I'm almost swing over here and trying to talk to the doctor real quick.
Now, you heard what he was saying about how great you are.
Is it true we work real hard?
Recall Mr. Jackson's awesome principal in up and coming and we work together and bounce a lot of good ideas off one another.
Now, tell us about Columbia.
What's it been like around there week?
It's been very, very exciting.
This is our second year in the big show.
And so our team is excited us.
Our students are excited.
We brought five busloads of students here tonight, so we are excited about it, communities up in arms about it.
And so we just looking forward to hopefully taking it home again.
Now tell me a little bit about the academic program.
I understand you guys have some great programs over there.
Yeah, we're really excited about the great things.
We are a wall to wall career academy.
We have five career academies.
In fact, last year, based on our graduation test scores, we were named a Bronze School of Excellence, the only high school in our in our county that had the highest increase in the graduation test scores.
And so we're excited about that.
Our teachers are working hard.
Our students, we have over 500 parents come out to a parent teacher conference.
I like to say, if parents can't be involved, we're excited that Columbia High School.
All right.
So if Columbia if Columbia just happens to win this thing today, is that going to, like, ruin your relationship?
Well Hopefully, he'll be able to take some notes here tonight and then take it back to the team and maybe they can.
But I'm not going to talk too much trash right now because I believe they are winning for right now.
But we'll see what happens in the second half.
Okay.
And James, one more question for you.
Yes, sir.
You know, being in Tucker and you got the you look like you're like 25 years old, man.
You know, you're a young guy.
Yeah, I'm a young guy.
But, you know, I worked hard and and have a lot of faith in and work to be the best I can be.
And hopefully that can rub off on the kids for them to be the best they could be.
Okay, Well, I tell you what, I definitely appreciate having both you guys here.
I want you to make sure that no matter who wins, you guys are going to be friends when this is over.
All right.
Me in the cab, kind of so.
All right, Dave, you see it?
This right here.
I missed it.
Back to you.
All right, Thanks, Phil.
I'll tell you what.
The Battle of the Cab County indeed is on.
Let's go back to the table now to Charles Ward, Herb White, for some first half highlights.
Gentlemen.
Thank you, Dave.
And it has been a very exciting first half here from the arena exit at Center Tigers doing.
A fine job in that first half, setting the pace to their liking.
Yeah, they got out to that early lead and they haven't been able to maintain Columbia's gotten back in.
It hasn't hit a jump shot the whole first half.
I don't think the Eagles they've only taken four.
Let's take a look at a few highlights.
In that first half, it was all about trying to get it inside for the Eagles of Columbia, but good defensive work by the Tigers in that first half come back offensively.
Manny Akins with the first two for the Tigers in the converted on the outside as well for me price is the main guy to go to four Columbia working hard on the inside and that's where they've had their success in this first half of basketball twice with another lay in for Columbia.
The defense continues.
This time it was by the Eagles and on the transition.
Lemmons With the lay end 32 2922 your score at the break some of the first half stats are there you see a big, big stat there 044 and three point distance for Columbia and well we're losing some of them but pretty even game but no outside jump in.
There you go.
Rebounds about even a little edge there to the Columbia Eagles turnovers Columbia's had more turnovers that hurt them a little bit early on points in the paint Columbia again leading it but the three point field goals and the free throws a little edge for the Tucker Tigers, they just shot the ball actually a little better for the whole game.
Manti Atkins, the leading scorer with 12 points in this first half, three of six on the floor for the Tigers.
So, Tucker, they lead at 2922.
Well, step aside with the time.
We'll come back, get you started with a third from the four a championship from the arena back when that center each week host Jim Jean Akyol brings you the latest most comprehensive look at Georgia high School sports Action.

Glad you could join us on GPB Tucker's defense.
A story that first half, Charles, And they just put it on Columbia early and maintain that lead.
And let's see if Columbia can hit a couple from outside and loosen that zone up a little bit and they'll start on offense.
Storms and Lemon's up front.
Isom handles the right side now that the block is largely back up.
Top scores price in the paint nice dished out download to ice and his shot rejected.
Don't try to say enough that's on defense come work they come back the other way leading a three on one break whistles inside as Simmons went airborne and was fouled.
Quick recovery as you look for price making the nice dump down but Tucker recovered very quick got the turnover here fortunately but his comments going into the locker room knows that they're not done by any stretch of the imagination.
You have got to stay on your P's and Q's with this Columbia team so explosive as Simmons converts from the free throw line, Tucker is stuck with that zone the whole game.
They play a little one three.
One man looks like they've factored into a21 2 to 3.
And it's always been effective.
Now their full court press eagles across the timeline Lemon at the block price nicely done with a lot hook from about two feet away when they get it inside with some space for price he makes it work Diallo out front Lemon stuffing it up defensively right side on the move Wilson at the block Atkins beat his man and got the late great patience by Tucker on offense They're spreading out that man to man defense once had somebody go for the steal they had the advantage Eagles trying to come to back champions in the fourth division A lot of work of work ahead of them though Tiger's doing a fine job thus far.
Stores in Columbia, their of the floor they tried to dump it in the price.
It comes three now price back on the right side but the stuffs here for the Eagles big fella got to step there you're not going to stop him once he's got that little bit of an advantage on you ice and with a nice look and pass touch to price inside twice missed the entry pass initially but they recovered well Simmons surveys gives over to Brooks Brooks fires a three pointer from way outside the long rebound comes away to the Tigers though they'll have another one Brooks left side this time the runners and five that runs off them on bodies tumbling to the floor.
It's cleared by Columbia.
Leslie waits on the troops with the pass to scores Smart play for Leslie to get it back out.
No numbers on that break.
Hammonds that for Isom.
Now, the stores behind me are three behind in the arc now and fires Airball Stauskas can not get the one Tucker with the basketball and the lead backside three with the lay in shots off the mark Joe Wilson had a nice clean look just could not finish.
You can tell stories as Duncan is not confident his jumper right now he had actually had the open jumper in the stand and jump shot and decides to take a couple of dribbles and couldn't get his timing down.
Gary Arias Morrell back on the floor for Coach Flip McQueary there on the screen as scores will come off the floor for the Eagles star with a good first half for the Columbia Eagles.
Maybe he can give them a little spark here now, Leslie, in the corner, quiet first half, and Travis lays it inside the paint.
MURRELL They went inside to him.
They throw the basketball away, basketball to the Tigers.
They say Pryce forced Wilson out of bounds.
Lawrence got good hands with that.
That was a tough one to handle.
There.
DeLoach will be picked up by Lemmons at the time line.
Simmons Right side squares fires a three at the back of the line and Morris clears.
The Columbia Tigers are not afraid to toss the three up that's going on Adams scores at the block price answers pass batted out of bounds and will stay with Columbia in traffic.
They throw it away but it comes clear Scores, scores.
Clemenza whistles on the play.
The Lopes got to close range in the legs.
The first tigers have led all the way.
They've set the tempo to their liking.
And Tucker is just drop that zone back further and further and pack it in.
Will tougher for Columbia to make the entrance pass now they just could not hit anything from outside.
Just that's just good coaching by coach.
Hopefully that's recognizing how they shot the ball in the first half.
Dom collapsing further inside basketball will stay on the eagle end of the floor and more inside and that was swatted out of bounds by Simmons collapsing confidence by the Tigers.
They take it out of bounds to the scoring showing at three two front on that zone defense and they've got two quick hands and the long arms out there making it tough to make those entry passes into the big guys scores.
Campbell's out front now tomorrow on the Warriors Leslie in traffic kept out of bounds to go up and stay with Columbia.
We've been saying that for the last minute and a half and a lot of good aggressive work by the Tigers is knocking that basketball out of bounds on a couple of occasions, their defensive work and actually forcing the time out by Coach McCrary and the Eagles of Columbia.
Tucker leading it 33 to 26 over the Eagles back half of this time out.

The video Tigers of Tucker leading the Eagles of the month here in the four a championship 3326 third time around for the Tigers with Tucker right now feel they're having things their way a lot of folks say that it's tough to beat the basketball team three times in one season.
Just so many lessons have been learned on the previous losses that may be coming to fruition with the Tigers here tonight.
Well, it's tough to beat a good basketball team three times.
And we should profile you for Tucker's defense is the story right now.
They've packed it back in and they're very quick.
They're just and they're making Columbia run a lot of time.
Even if they score their run a lot of time.
They've been down here for about a minute or something now trying to get a bucket.
So even if they score, they've lost a lot of time and they're still behind.
And I don't know if Coach prefers got any shooters over there, he can bring in somebody that can stroke it, but he might consider that or maybe consider putting Storrs down inside and bringing in somebody else.
Going to have to change something that pretty soon Lemmons will handle out slot now down in the corner to Storrs draws the double team immediately now back in the corner and fires a three pointer.
Storrs can't find the range long rebound to Atkins Atkins will challenge by himself shot rejected though good running of the floor by Leslie pick on the Eagles lemons left side to the glass the reverse that couple of athletic plays on the other end great swirl and then the great athletic blocking.
I saw Atkins off the glass down here by lemons blows and the tigers back with the basketball lions a three point range airball by Atkins.
But it's taken away Simmons had it got back to the rack for the Tigers Nelson bounced out of bounds.
The the to the Eagles of Columbia now not a good trip down the floor for Tucker there took a really quick bad and ill advised outside shot and still a good five point gap and that could cut to two or three under 3 minutes remaining in the third quarter.
Things are going to tighten up a bit here.
Lemon's top of the key, what's in store is right side in the block.
More stories on the move.
Trying to get up at the top of the pocket and take it away about the Tigers two on one the left side to the right Simmons with the follow up stuff but the low to slide 97 so Nick DeLoach to senior point guard for Tucker to the line DeLoach is good on the first side as trying to maintain that lead It's one of the better free throw shooters on Tucker 71% free throw shooter on the year probably the best free throw shooter out there guys that play a lot the most good on both lemons.
The attack for Columbia back scores behind the arc on the penetration out to the glass good defensive work by the tigers once again the a turnover from Storrs Brooks quickly up the floor Nice dish right side seven six stuff that was nasty with a big in great execution by the Tigers They lead it now by nine Simmons has got some serious hops hung in there a long time that one back the other way Leslie with a nice lay lead.
Now back to seven for Tucker Atkins out front is guarding tightly for the Eagles now Columbus, extending that man to man out a little bit, trying to get the game pace up.
Monroe up pass it all the way basketball to the Eagles.
Price is down the floor.
Brooks picks him up, tapped around, kept out of bounds The call by officials Price knocked it out of bounds Go back to Tucker smart play by Marshon Brooks here Instead of letting Jeremy Price take him down inside where he could bully into the basket, he knocked it away before he got into the paint jump.
The big guy up front approaching a minute remaining third Brooks on the penetration drew the foul store guilty of a foul for Columbia.
The Columbia tried to put together a little mini run, but it's back up to seven.
They had a chance to cut it to two three.
Brooks pushes it out front to Wilson.
What amounts to so much at the block as Brooks tapped out of bounds.
So to stay with Tucker under a minute remaining in the third quarter seven point lead for the Tigers they inbound the basketball fellows working off the screen the double team by the Eagles out front.
I'll call you.
Take your pick.
They're calling on Leslie for for 2014 fouls on Columbia.
Now the non shooting foul the Eagles will inbound it right of their cylinder Marshon Brooks to do that out of bounds actions double that on the end line and the Eagles will have the turnover So with 45 seconds remaining in the third quarter Eagles trying to take that deficit down to five nine stores having a tough day so far.
Charles, that's been one of the big stories for Columbia.
They've done a great job of shutting him down.
He hasn't had the shooting touch.
And whenever he's taken to the basket, they've been able to slap it away.
He does almost throw it away, not to give it a thought for three finds.
DUNN Each time I knew as soon as I said, it's wide open.
Look, he stuffed that one good for him.
The triple makes it a four point deficit 17 seconds from me.
Third Brooks on the penetration dunked it down low at the blocked shot by Haskins off the mark foul for basketball loose on the floor Monroe controls and we're going to get a jump for a timeout the ball was trying to call the timeout but they call the jump ball first.
Now goes to Tucker big possession here, 6.3 seconds remaining in this third quarter.
Nine.
Anthony Isom back on the floor for the Eagles inbound pass Simmons in traffic Simmons got an airborne in Kansas for the Tigers so the tigers answer late in the third quarter to deny that charge of the Eagles they continue the lead and after three 3933 over Columbia will step aside for a timeout and come back with the fourth quarter boys for a championship.
I wish that I could set you up myself some I couldn't.

This is Georgia Public Broadcasting, your PBS station and one 3933 The Tigers of Tucker leading the Eagles of Columbia.
We get set to go into the fourth and final from the arena back Gwinnett Center boys for a championship coming to you live on GPB.
The Eagles will have a first crack at it offensively for a start.
This horrible freight stores big sigh of relief a moment ago as he finally cracked a jumper and had it go down.
LEMON walks to the right side at the block price into passing deep.
But he the game he lost it to the Tigers the most to the rack missed on the way in and lemon somehow clears it for the Eagles had three jerseys down there for the tigers and not able to get that second shot at the blocked left side Leslie in traffic and he stepped on the inbound line, two trips down the floor, two turnovers for Columbia.
They can ill afford that with 728 to go.
And Dallas might have been better off giving it to a wingman on that break.
But nonetheless, Tucker, Tigers with a six point lead in the ball trapped at the sideline as the lonesome for someone to take a timeout when they do good defensive work by the Eagles just in front of the Tucker bench, 67 for nine that third quarter heard Eagles of Columbia made a real charge at that lead of the Tigers with the tigers able to really stand around and right at the end they got that turtle to get the basketball back and converted on that basket at the end of that quarter.
Yeah, I imagine the Columbia is probably up around 12, 14 turnovers for the ballgame now.

Now, we missed, Jim, did not just get in the hands of grandmother Ill and we wish his family the best.
And wherever you are, Jim, we're thinking about you, buddy and Jerry.
Nice call on that after the timeout.
It's the Tigers far side of the floor and Brooks will handle it.
The back court, the Tigers trying to spread the floor a bit here.
Herb looks like they're trying to kill some time inside the paint basketballs batted around it becomes clear inside shot by Wilson's the mark Morrow finally calls for the Eagles big stop for Columbia They need to cash in Lammers fires a three pointer and the cap stocks to the right cashing in on the 33. ballgame.
Now let's see how Tucker handles a little pressure.
They haven't had any for a while.
The most out front right corner.
Simmons Brooks can handle ones left side jump up by stop and pop putting this right on cleared by Lester here come the Eagles back down the floor Price is running nicely back to store fire two threes inside with that gets it The percentages are starting to catch up now We got us a ballgame.
We're tied at 605 remaining back.
Got the crowd alive from Columbia.
Tucker needs an answer.
It took him three and a quarter quarters to get it done, but they're tied again.
Wilson's on the play Double Dribble by the DeLoach.
Tucker panicking a little bit that'll happen Three straight buckets they're two straight threes by the Columbia Eagles now time for Tucker to stiffen up that defense against that one for a start.
Look at them now.
They're three of nine from behind the arc.
The last two really big.
And the corner store is on the move down at the block price to the glass shot rejected good defensive work Tigers have numbers they got four on to Brooks left side got the lay and and he draws the foul that's huge It was a great entry pass down here for Columbia Price had the good look inside but Simmons with that quickly blocked it and then Tucker able to come down and score and that was huge and Marshon Brooks converted Now he's going to have a big free throw.
Tiger sprinting out after that good defensive play to get that lay and Brooks misses on the free throw tigers by two Lammers from the right side scores surveys across the floor Landers back to scores Monroe up top now Leslie in the corner.
Lemmons And then a three pointer this one's backside and off rebound clear by Brooks.
Brooks the foul by steals in the back door.
It could have been an intentional foul there stories real close picking up them telling the technical on the ball out of bounds Brooks was calling for the still pleading his case with the officials he was wasn't all that that one go with this much time to go in the ballgame little surprise at that tigers little ball that just in front of us and the icing on the floor for the Eagles he replaces Darius Murrell nice in the senior Marlow the junior Let's change spots in the lineup and May Morrow will be calling a lot next year as well five performance in this final championship ballgame perhaps still over 4 minutes remaining in Tucker one to work for Goodwin here, Spread that floor.
Try use that quickness.
Tigers with only two points in this fourth quarter Good defensive work by the Eagles running right Brooks to the similar off the mark advanced rebound and put back by Athens to get their fourth quarter this fourth quarter that's huge great job by Atkins took his time putting it back up in the air against the big guys and top of the key now Columbia needs to answer This is the kind of ball game.
Every possession is huge.
Now approaching the four minute mark scores down in the corner, it goes ice and back up.
Top numbers now on the move is Leslie grab by Brooks Yeah Brooks got him this time working to get the offensive rebound inside by Atkins with the bigger body it's Atkins the thin guy and able to find that niche in there and get the rebound and go back up with it stores kicks it back out.
The 11 now stores behind the screen.
That's Todd Leslie Leslie to the rack, the spinners off the mark, but he falls the foul.
Good job by Leslie taking it to the hoop.
Had to have a basket or some free throws.
There were 5347 Leslie with a quick step shot, fall off and a good look at it.
LESLIE Just a 56% free throw shooter, but you wouldn't know about that.
Stock converts on the first three point Tiger lead on the night.
Leslie five points on the rebound and that's a six Eagles going through four pressure now, Tucker with a quickness advantage across the floor Simmons to the rack he left the short for no rebound They got down to the foul trouble Columbia to press this team Tucker with that quickness you showed there right side in traffic.
Leslie died of jump possession now Tucker to the tigers of Tucker Now you want to take your time, draws you down to 320, go down.
They turn around a little block off of their get a good shot Darius Murrell back on the floor.
No need to rush anything at this point.
Hello.
After attacking defense by the Eagles, trying to do exactly what you said and they spread it like that, run that time off the clock.
ROSEN Out front in the corner on the spin is active in traffic gets it over to Simmons who missed on the tackle but the rebound comes to there Wolfson throws him from seven feet away down at the post Tucker play that to perfection.
They didn't get it the first time they though they ran it perfect but they got the rebound and stuck it back in and traffic largely has take it away whistle he's going to get it complex 57 over 75.
This is a seven.
Now the challenge becomes even more difficult every time you find them.
Now customers are going to take advantage of 2 minutes, 37 seconds remaining tigers twice defeated by the Eagles in the regular season.
Plus Eagles of Columbia, the defending forte state champs Charlie Wilson, just a 56% free throw shooter as well.
Let's see what he does in crunch time.
Nice rotation on it.
Props up the folks rising to the occasion, but Columbia's got to come down and score quick.
They don't have to go for the three.
That's not their forte anyhow.
But they need to score quick and get some full court pressure on Tucker.
He makes his free throw.
We're also close to double double ten points, eight rebounds thus far.
Got the second as well.
Tucker just needs to play tough defense.
No need to foul Lemon's quickly up the floor.
Sterling Isom Parker scores the three get the back of the seven the long rebound batted finally cleared by Wilson and the Tigers the most fouled in the backcourt by their own stores and the loss to the US.
So it's a simple Charles and Tucker can make some free throws they may have a state championship on their hands.
I just don't think Columbia's got the three point shooter.
And if they get down eight or nine to come back in a couple of minutes.
But stranger things have happened.
The most converts, the fast lane offense excited.
Tucker has won one state title back in 1996 when they played in the triple triple-A division.
The most misses on the second.
Columbia has to be at the Quick Step store behind the arc now dumps it inside Harvey Harvey with a stunner.
That was good time.
I think the final three is the nine remaining the job back.
Coach McCrary wants to set up two or three plays in advance and let his guys know what they're going to do.
Tucker comes down and misses or if they score, we hope you're enjoying our broadcast of this GHC state basketball championship.

Seven point ball game.
It's a three possession game.
So Tucker scores here.
It's going to be a four possession game.
Or it could be if they have a three.
After the town of Tigers will face full court pressure by the Eagles from Columbia.
Go for the steal.
Try to steal the ball.
They it down and gets under 2 minutes and you're going to have to file close to Simmons and cross the floor.
They go to Atkins now Brooks who went out for the loss has bounced twice with the steal for the eagles here they come back the other way left side high and down by Travis last minute 47 left in the ballgame five points Tiger lead the lower left baseline in on the inbound line pass the ball over to Columbia Coach Hachi walking the other way.
He doesn't want to start screaming now.
Storrs tried off right quick.
They threw it away.
And here come the Tigers.
The challenging Lemon's missed on the shot clock following with the lane is Simmons that's big That could be the ball game Simmons hustling the big guy down to follow the break Elevens behind the arc squares fires a three dropped it for the eagles Well like I said maybe it's not the ball game we've got a four point game next year once again and Brooks the junior, takes the time out for Coach Hartley and the Tigers Boy every time he takes unders put that final nail in Columbia's coffin they come up with something came up with the steal the moment to go on the break and then the big outside jumper 50 to 48 tigers of Tucker with the lead but the Eagles not going quietly in this for a championship.
Well the situation now is even if you have to foul and give up two free throws, then it's just a two possession game because it's two three pointers.
So again, I look for Columbia to try to go for the steal, and if they don't get it, they're going to have to foul after.
I wouldn't let it get down to a minute or more.
Eagles of Columbia haven't lost to a school in the state of Georgia since November 2005 on a school.
I think.
Norcross almost in that same situation, they are they're playing a lot of these powerhouses from out of state not to televise high school basketball, getting to be really big.
And we sure do enjoy it just gets them all the more ready for play within their region and within their state.
I don't know if there's another state in the country that's got better.
High school basketball in Georgia.
Full court pressure by the Eagles.
Tigers trying to walk it up the floor slowly.
They got hurry now though Brooks off the floor that allows trapping at the sideline the Eagles Brooks dribbles in the back court threw it out of bounds turn over gives the basketball ball to the Eagles tackle Mike Tucker handling the pressure part of you need to get it away from the sideline get the ball in the middle of the floor is trying to answer quickly with three now Ramblers stuck with their with and rammed in hole for the Eagles two point lead now a tough less than a minute remains Brooks back out from the left side he goes past Babbitt almost knocked out of bounds Atkins handles jump ball called possession arrow gives this to the Eagles we might have seen the best tip dunk I've ever seen in high school basketball He just a moment and go with that That was unbelievable Absolutely incredible dunk by Travis last night two point ball game here we see it.
Let's watch this now remember and Leslie, how much arm was over the rim?
And that was just from a standing incredible 25 seconds for me.
Lemon's a two point I will tie it moral back to lemons in the corner store fires a three pointer off the mark price with the rebound missed on the put back on his side and partially tip scores jumpshot tries with the big rebound now he's got to go to the free throw line for two a good foul inside make the big guy convert that price to senior two of the biggest free throws of this high school career come coming 64% free throw shooter on the year calm in six the first incident just see how Columbia plays this now with a full court pressure and risk the foul.
Well they fall back and pick up half court.
I think they'll pick them up full court, try to play without the foul.
He makes his free throws, 15.9 seconds remaining and we already missed.
On the seven rebounds cleared by Atkins and he was fouled He'll go to the line Jeremy fries hurting after that one but hang in there big guy It isn't over yet.
Still here.
We'll still make another three point ball game.
Well, they have to shoot three pointer.
I think they'll have enough time to maybe take two steps down the floor.
But a timeout taken on the floor makes the Eagles trailing by one.
What a great ballgame this last quarter.
Charles, Columbia just decided, hey, it's time to step up.
We're a great basketball team and like Coach Autry said, he knew they were coming back some time and they just he knew they were going to start hitting some jump shots.
You just see you don't win as many games as they have and not have some outside game and some of them started falling.
And then Tucker has not handled the pressure well late.
Columbia's been able to force him into some turnovers about, three trips down the floor and not for Jerry Jeremy Simmons on some big follows here in this quarter Columbia would have to lead the Eagles if Columbia Tech carrying not haven't been rattled throughout the whole contest with trailing most of it tied at 39.
So a couple of big free throws coming up.
It's going to be just nine fouls.
So it's not the bonus is still the one on one.
Now Tucker's falling back.
They're going to fall back, put all their players back on defense.
So they're not going to pick up full court.
They're not going to try to make Columbia use clock getting the ball up the floor.
They're going to pack it in, try to make them them from outside.
Again, Matty Atkins, just a sophomore herb at the line facing a big conversion here on the first.
He can get that's huge and that's going to take a three to beat you look for Columbia to go inside and it's a three point game even then because if they score quick, they can still foul half.
He's got them both.
But maybe you want to take the three and hope your horses get on the board, but you got to get something up quick.
Landers across the floor, 9 seconds now.
Tomorrow they're going to go to stores, store behind the arc for 307.
They're not on the basketball, but Brooks fouled in the back court at 1.5 seconds remaining thing when every which way down inside the basket look good all the way for stores just wouldn't stay in had a great look as you indicated Herbert rattled and popped out.
Coach McCrary and Coach Hartley already exchanging congratulations.
But there is 1.5 seconds remaining on the from the well, one free throw and this one's history and then the desperation heave can't beat you.

And he's a sweetheart of a bear of a guy, I'll tell you that.
They are celebrating at the sideline.
Brooks walks off as he hits the second free throw and the third time is the charm for the Tigers.
They lost to this team twice in the regular season, so Chartres comes across as a loud, gruff guy, but he's got a heart of gold.
He loves his players and the Tigers.
Here they are.
The 2007 for a state champs in Georgia led almost the entire ballgame.
Saw off a couple of nice runs from the Eagles and they dethrone the defending state champs.

Simmons Brooks Wilson also turning in a fine performance in probably their biggest contest as high school players.
They won it 5651.
Well hold Columbia about 20 points under their scoring average.
So Tucker, under their scoring average.
But the defense won it for Tucker Tigers today, Tigers win it 5651 will step for a timeout and come back with more postgame activities from the Arena Equine Art Center.
