About the Show
Tchéky Karyo stars as Julien Baptiste, the French detective who formerly appeared in the related TV series, The Missing. As the show Baptiste begins, our title character is newly retired, having recovered from a major operation for a brain tumor. He’s looking to live quietly with his family, but duty calls and, as ever, Julien Baptiste feels morally compelled to answer. “The way [the show] delivers narrative curveballs is striking. So is Mr. Karyo’s stolid portrayal of Baptiste,” says The Wall Street Journal.
